Day 1: Experience the Ilulissat Icefjord

Depart from Reykjavik Domestic Airport for a short flight to the charming Arctic village of Ilulissat (Jakobshavn), beautifully situated at the mouth of the 56 kilometre-long Ilulissat Icefjord, also known as Kangia. Upon arrival, you are transported to your accommodation for the next four nights.

Days 2-4: Explore Ilulissat As You Wish

For the next three days, the sky is the limit! You can choose from an array of exciting optional excursions, all of which can be booked locally at your accommodation.

Imagine sailing among icebergs weighing up to seven million tons while the midnight sun lights up their great white surfaces. You can experience this in person along with other awe-inspiring optional tours in Ilulissat, including helicopter rides over immense icebergs, motorboat tours to the Eqi glacier with its enormous pieces of calved ice, cultural demonstrations and village walks, whale-watching safaris, or excursions to the small, remote settlements in the area. For hiking enthusiasts, the tranquil Sermermiut Valley just a few kilometres from Ilulissat offers spectacular views from a number of marked trails.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 5: Leisurely Morning & Afternoon Departure

The time has come to say farewell to this magnificent land, but first you can join a short optional excursion or do some last-minute souvenir shopping in the morning. On the return flight to Reykjavík in the afternoon, enjoy the stunning views over the Ilulissat Icefjord and its surrounding landscapes.
